Our guest speaker for September meeting will be Mauricio Galante.

Mauricio was elected to Arlington City Council for Place 1 in May 2024 and is currently serving in that position.

He attended the Arlington Citizen Police Academy in 2024 and is currently a member of the ACPAAA.

He and his wife Larissa own and operate Golf Center of Arlington.

He attended public schools in Sao Paulo, Brazil and graduated from the Brazilian Naval Academy in 1993.

During his Navy career, Councilman Galante served as a deck officer, weapon systems officer, amphibious warfare officer, rescue swimmer, naval special warfare program, and river patrol ship executive officer until his honorable early retirement from the Brazilian Navy in 2002.

Maricio will speak about how he got involved in the Arlington Citizen Police Academy, Arlington City Council and his experience with the Arlington City government.
